Artist Statement:
Tamie Howell
This is my first art show. That is why all the framed original prints are numbered 1/250.
I graduated from Central Washington University with a BA degree in Graphic Arts in 1985. After graduating from Central i stayed in Ellensburg and have lived here since.
My favorite media to work with are Berol prismacolor pencils, whcih blend well and have a nice rich dark color to them.
The color pencil, graphite illustrations, water color paintings, and logos that are on display are a result of 25 years of work.
The color pencil illustration of the cowboy boots currently serves as an official logo of the television channel, KCWU, and helps serve as the identification symbol for city and university programming to the community.
